Developed through extensive research in the historical archives of the Public Power Corporation (PPC), This Current Between Us investigates the material and affective traces of industrial labour embedded within Greece's energy infrastructure. Focusing on archival photographs of workers' protective equipment—including helmets, gloves, uniforms, and boots—the project approaches these objects not as utilitarian artefacts but as corporeal extensions of the workers themselves: interfaces between the vulnerability of the body and the violence of the machine.

Appropriating the visual language of this protective apparatus, I developed a series of banners and emblems entitled Flag #3. Echoing both workers' insignia and political standards, these textile works evoke the perpetual rhythm, circulation, and invisible pulse of the power station, transforming industrial iconography into a symbolic vocabulary of labour, endurance, and collective memory.

The audiovisual installation 56/11/1961 draws upon archival footage and sound recordings from the PPC archives to commemorate the devastating flood that struck Athens in 1961 and the fatal workplace accident caused by the overflowing Kifisos River, which claimed the life of a factory worker. Activated through the recorded voice of the plant's director, the installation intertwines institutional testimony with personal loss, revealing the fragile intersection of industrial progress, environmental forces, and human vulnerability.

Rather than reconstructing a historical event, 56/11/1961 reflects on the consequences of human intervention in the natural environment and the unstable boundaries between nature, technology, and infrastructure. At the same time, it constructs a contemplative space in which absence, mourning, and remembrance become inseparable from the histories of labour and the politics of energy production.
